From Your Neighborhood Butcher to a Full-Service Catering Experience
The Butcher’s Market was founded in 2010 by a local father and son, Craig and Derek Wilkins, with the opening of our Cary location, followed by the Raleigh location in 2011. Over the next few years, they worked to develop a reputation for premium meats, distinctive products, and exceptional service, leading them to partner with another local in the area, Randy Bossé. Together they further expanded our presence in Wake County, adding three more locations over the next few years. Soon after father and son, Lee and Smith Prevost, approached us with the vision of bringing The Butcher’s Market to Wilmington, leading to the opening of two addition stores.

As we grew, we asked ourselves; How else can we bring our signature quality and service to the community? The answer was clear, CATERING. By expanding into catering, we saw it as a way to bring our premium meats and handcrafted specialties from behind the counter straight to your celebrations. Ensuring the same level of quality and hospitality that defines The Butcher’s Market.

Now came the task of putting together a team that wanted to help us to do just that. After some time, we assembled a team who were ready to present catering to Wake County and surrounding area under The Butcher’s Market brand that exemplified our vision. We’re proud to introduce:
- Joe Lumbrazo – a seasoned chef with years of experience runnings his own successful restaurant and catering operation
- Linda Bennett – a catering sales coordinator with a proven track record of executing seamless and memorable events
- Chip McCormick – a key member of The Butcher’s Market team since 2011, combining extensive knowledge of our brand with years of catering experience for demanding clientele and events
